Pam
and Emma Jansen (Mother and Daughter) own and operate Ballarat Patchwork.
With over 30 years experience between them they feel confident to
provide expert advice and friendly service.
We
opened Ballarat Patchwork in November 2002, and over this time our
business has grown enormously, as has our stock level, and we have
many regular customers. Our shop is overflowing with fabulous fabrics,
including Kaffe Fassett, Amy Butler, 1930s reproduction, a wonderful
range of Japanese fabrics and lots spots and stripes!
Our
extensive class list includes visiting tutors such as Trish Harper,
Deborah Dorward, Judy Newman and many more. We also run regular
Beginner classes, in our large, bright classroom. I am an accredited
teacher of the "Thimblelady" technique of pain free hand
quilting, and offer regular classes in this technique.
We
have a large selection of our own patterns designed mostly by Emma,
(whose background in textile design is certainly apparent), and
many other patterns by other designers. There are books galore to
inspire you, as well as all your quilting and patchwork needs, including
a large range of batting on the roll. Including Hobbs and Matilda's
Own.
We
are a "specialist" patchwork shop, and look forward
to helping you in your fabric selection or quilting project.
Happy Patching,
Pam Jansen
