This pattern consists of three versions a 60" square Dahlia quilt. Its gentle curves are quick to piece by either hand or machine. The variations in effect achieved by colour placement, in this quilt, are only limited by your imagination.

The Toile fabric as much inspired this quilt, as did a love of antique quilts.

The New York Beauty block dates back to the 1800s and is a fantastic quilt to showcase a feature fabric. It can be pieced using foundation piecing for accuracy and ease or traditionally pieced using hand or machine techniques.

This wonderful pieced block can be made up into a cushion,used for the centre of a cot quilt... or can be one of many blocks in a larger quilt.
Hand cut and hand pieced.... embellished with 16 little yoyos.
Full directions for making into a cushion will be supplied, although we may not get to do this in the workshop timeframe.

This workshop will cover the transfer of the design onto the quilt top, basting and the technique of Perle thread quilting.
A "bolder", more forgiving form of quilting.... rather than using the traditional quilting cotton.
A selection of quilting designs will be supplied in the class.

This class will be run over 6 months with one class a month. You will learn applique, and lots of quick piecing methods as you work your way through the borders.
Packs including all the fabric for the quilt top will be available if you would like our colours or you can choose your own.

Come and join Pam for a great design class. This quilt has been made using the two sizes of the Drunkards Path templates from Victorian Textiles. This is a great design class with so many possibilities for the finished layout. The two templates have to be purchased to do this class and there is also a large amount of pre-cutting before the class.

A wonderful scrap quilt to use up some of your stash, or for a more sophisticated look use co-ordinating fabrics. This is not a complicated quilt and is suitable for all levels of sewing skills.
"Jelly Rolls" are suited for this project.

Designed for beginners this Star Sampler teaches you 9 classic star blocks, sashing, “on point” setting and borders. The blocks are rotary cut and machine pieced, taking you to a completed top. A very traditional and pretty introduction to patchwork.
1st class - 6.30pm - 9.30pm.

A class designed as an introduction to machine quilting, including free motion. Pattern transfer and basting techniques will also be explained
