A profusion of colourful large and small circles, set into a crisp white background fabric. The Georgetown
circles are hand cut and hand pieced, using florals,
plains, spots and stripes. The sample quilt is 213cm square, but can be made to any size.... using less circles and altering the border measurements. Fine hand quilting, using DMC Perle 8 completes this stunning quilt.

This quilt was inspired by a friendship quilt made in Massachusetts,
USA, in 1873. It consists of 12" blocks set on point with lattices and completed
with two borders. Shadow Star uses a combination of hand and machine
piecing or can be pieced entirely by hand.

This quilt is inspired by a number of circular patchwork designs from years gone by. Ballaarat Beauties consists of elements from antique quilts such as New York Beauty, Whig’s Defeat, Georgetown Circle, Mariner’s Compass and Sunburst, as well as some original designs. There are 36 blocks, each one of which comprises a pieced quarter circle set into an 8" square. The squares are then straight-set together and the blocks can be laid out to form complete circles or twisted to create different effects. The sample is made from reproduction fabrics, however this quilt would look equally stunning in bright colours or more contemporary fabrics. It is machine foundation pieced for speed and accuracy or could be pieced entirely by hand. Your quilt can be made exactly as the sample quilt or the individual
blocks could form the basis for an entirely different quilt. It is only limited by your imagination.

Join us for this one day workshop to make a plaited fabric bag. These can be made to any size... and we will complete a "baby" one in the day. This little one is perfect for jewellery or coins in your handbag. The larger ones are ideal for makeup or sewing needs. Even larger can be made into a beautiful summer handbag.....

This simple quilt is an easy introduction to Patchwork and Quilting. Machine piecing and rotary cuting will be taught, resulting in a finished quilt and instructions on machine or hand quilting.
Binding will also be covered in this class.

Designed for beginners this Star Sampler teaches you 9 classic star blocks, sashing, “on point” setting and borders. The blocks are rotary cut and machine pieced, taking you to a completed top. A very traditional and pretty introduction to patchwork.
