This pattern consists of three versions a 60" square Dahlia quilt. Its gentle curves are quick to piece by either hand or machine. The variations in effect achieved by colour placement, in this quilt, are only limited by your imagination.

A quilt made in Hartford, USA in 1848 inspired this quilt. It consists of twenty 14" blocks straight set with a single border. It uses machine-piecing techniques, or can be pieced entirely by hand.

The Class will cover fabric selection, colour choices and fussy cutting. The use of fusible web, specifically Lite Steam-A-Seam2. Raw edge applique and free motion stitching will also be covered along with the actual pillow construction which is done by inserting a zip with a flap. There will be samples of different background quilting designs for your to try and there will also be a demonstration on binding. (time dependant)

This class in not suitable for beginner free motion quilters. You will need some experience with free-motion quilting.

Using Victorian Textile's rotary cutting templates along with Hetty Von Boven's instructional booklet, making this quilt is far quicker than when using traditional methods. Patchwork and rotary cutting skills required.

This class will be run over 4 months. You will learn applique, and lots of quick piecing methods as you work your way through the borders.
Packs including all the fabric for the quilt top will be available if you would like our colours or you can choose your own.

Designed for beginners this Star Sampler teaches you 9 classic star blocks, sashing, “on point” setting and borders. The blocks are rotary cut and machine pieced, taking you to a completed top. A very traditional and pretty introduction to patchwork.
