Pinny – Pattern by Make it Perfect.

Yo-Yo Christmas Wreath,
made using the large clover yo-yo maker,
and a foam base.
I do love my red front door.
Just call me Elizabeth Arden.
Will be closed from 3pm Xmas Eve,
Open from 29th Dec to 31st Dec.
Closed again from 1st Jan to 3rd Jan.
Normal trading hours from the 4th of Jan.
Over the last couple of weeks I have received
some great photos of finished quilts from my customers.

This first quilt was made by Fiona for her Mum’s 80th Birthday.
The pattern is one of ours and is called Boyz Quilt.
It looks so completely different to our original but I love
that Fiona has only used one fabric in the square centers.
A great way to show off a feature fabric!
This next quilt is a version of our Nine Birds Quilt.
it was made by Alison who lives in Singapore,
so it has an international flavour.
Alison used Denyse Schmidt’s Hope Valley fabric range.
Well I still think it looks great!
This last quilt was made by Romaine, another version
of the Nine Birds quilt.
Very nice colours and I especially love the red.
This is Romaine’s first quilt – not bad at all.
Congratulations!
If you are around in Ballarat this weekend (12th of December)
there is going to be a lovely one off market on from 2pm – 6pm on Sunday.
I’m actually really really excited because it is an
afternoon market……. I still get to sleep in!!!!!!!
It’s called the Main Road Market,
and of course it is being held in Main Road, Ballarat.
Local Produce, local designers… sounding good to me.

We have been busy sewing and creating some wonderful new quilts.
The first is called Joshua’s quilt and this one
was designed by my Mum, Pam Jansen.
She wanted to make a simple and easy boys quilt
for some friends of ours who have just had a baby boy.
This quilt has been made using a quick method of making
flying geese so it is a quick quilt to piece.
Fantastic for using up those scraps – these fabrics
came from my ever growing pile of fabric at home.

Joshua’s Quilt
size: 122cms x 152cms
Next up is a quilt we called Goose Chase.
Once again this quilt uses the flying geese block but
this time we placed them in a block
using 8 of the units. I made this quilt using fabrics from
Rosalie Quinlan’s beautiful range of fabric called Sweet Broderie.
This also would make another excellent scrap quilt.

Goose Chase
size: 175cms x 175cms (69″ x 69″)
and last but by no means least, Pink Fizz Kaleidoscope.
I loved making this quilt, and can’t wait to make another using this fantastic
template from Marti Mitchell. I used her Kaleido Ruler to create this stunning
quilt using the Sweet Broderie range of fabrics.
This ruler has so many possibilities with this design just being one of them.
I have quite a few more quilts designed in my head using this ruler.
This quilt has used just two blocks – hard to believe because of the
fantastic pattern they create. It is the same block design, with one block
using 8 different fabrics and the other used just 4.

Pink Fizz Kaleidoscope
size: 183cms x 183cms (72″ x 72″)
To be in the chance to win all three patterns,
including the Marti Mitchelle Kaleido Ruler,
tell me which is your favourite.
Leave your comment by Monday the
22nd of November 2010 to be in the running.
thanks, emma
