I’m on a little holiday
Hello hello from a relaxed sewing girl. I have taken the week off to catch up on a few sewing projects and finally organise my new little space for sewing. I have moved to a friends house while I do some work on the shop. I have her spare room which is not the biggest and so I can have my sewing machine set up I have to sleep in a single bed. Not too bad but it does get a little squishy when the two cats, Buffy and Willow decided to sleep with me.
Now to the winner of Kellie’s sewing pattern drawn at random………
Tissy Says: What a spunky new style Kellie has, it even looks like a CAN DO project, not too big to tackle but BIG on the WOW factor.
Kellie is coming to teach tomorrow which is very exciting, and I will have to drop in and say hello because she always brings extra work,
and I love to see it all!
I spent a good day sorting out all my sewing stuff. When my Grandma died last year I kept all her sewing things and now they are finally mixed in with mine. Check out my drawers….

Hand sewing threads

Laces, trims and ribbons
This week I also quilted 3 Boyz Cot quilts. I have had a number of friends who have had baby boys in the past 6 months and it was time for a little mass production. I quilted them all differently and I will get some pics after they come back from Pam Jansen’s binding service.
Got to admire my mum’s love for binding.
A new quilt on the go too. Some 9 patches I have had hanging around for a while. I am planning to do some applique to put with the blocks.

The secret project is nearly finished – very exciting.
and last but not least, Henriette turtle.

This little guy has been design by Heather Bailey.
Very quick to make and too cute!
