We have finally put together some packs for the Worry Doll quilt
designed by Kellie from Don’t Look Now.

We have put together and lovely range of brights for the clothes,
selection of hair colours,
fabrics for skin and the white for the background.

A lovely new range from Moda called Bliss.
A beautiful range of raspberry reds and fresh aquas.

I recently made a sample of Heather Bailey’s Happy Stacker Rings.
These were lots of fun to make, a little fiddly but the pattern
was very easy to understand.

New visitors to the shop – Izzy & Archie from Jodie.
Thanks also to Jodie who did the embroidery on Izzy’s dress.
Embroidery is not my strong point……..

A new Amy Butler sample of the Anna Tunic.
Can’t wait for summer to wear this one……
of course I got Sarah (my sample maker)
to make my size!!!!

More fabulous Knits from Michael Miller have just arrived!

Designer Felt, aren’t the colours stunning!

and thanks to June, for bringing in her version of Zara’s Hexagons.

My temporary space

Monday, September 20th, 2010

I have moved onced again and am now living in an partially renovated house own by my friend simon. Simon is a second hand dealer among other things and his house is full of lovely furniture and bits and bobs. We have quite similar taste so all own stuff works well together. He is living in Geelong so I have the place all to myself. I spend many a weekend rearranging and moving furniture. There is a 2nd bedroom full of furniture and nick nacks. I love having a search through this room and I am always finding treasures.

I have had this old chair since uni days. It is covered in a fabric that I hand screen printed for my degree show. It has been living with my brother in Melbourne but they no longer have the space so it came back. The curtains were an op-shop find from many years ago. I just added the red strip along the bottom to make them long enough and I just love them.

This is Simon’s buffet and I think I might have to steel it. It has a beautiful marble top and is apprently French Art Deco – but hey what would I know.

Bits of mine and simons.

I love this photo with my Grandma’s lamp in the background and a the
lucky red bull that was my Grandpa’s.

This piece is Simon’s Grandfather’s shaving stand.
I use to store my jellewry and perfumes.

A collection of bits and pieces.

Simon had this great shelf unit just sitting empty one
of the rooms. Perfect for all my sewing things and let
me tell you it didn’t take long to fill up!

A lovely place for my plants, a sunroom off the back.

I love a kitchen thats seperate from the lounge room.
My friends and I spend lots of time in here cooking, eating
and gernerally having a good time. (with no tv!!)

The cool stove that has been put into an old fireplace.
Unfortunately Simon didn’t or wasn’t able to put in a rangehood
so I had to improvise with the lights, otherwise I couldn’t
see what I was cooking!

My Bed, which I must add is in the lounge room.
This room is so big and seeing it is just me and the cats
I decided to live in the one room. I also love the
view out the window ans it means I sleep by the moonlight.

Renovations will hopefully be starting at the shop next month.

So fingers crossed I will be moving to my new
house at the back of the shop soon!!!!
