Giveaway for the Premiers Flood Relief
I am sure you have all heard about the devastating floods in Queensland.
As I mentioned in my last post, Toni from Make it Perfect has rallied the
troops so to speak, and lots of wonderful bloggers are holding Auctions
and raffles on their blogs and facebook pages.
So to help I am holding a raffle / giveaway.
Thanks Jodie for the idea and rules!

This giveaway is open to everyone no matter where you live.

I will cover all postage costs.

To enter this giveaway you must donate $5 to the Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal.

You may enter as many times as you like but each entry / donation must have a separate receipt number. (eg: donate $5 ten times if you want to donate $50- then comment ten times with your receipt number)
After you have done this , return here and leave your
comment with your receipt number.

I am offering these 3 fabric bundles as the prize – they will ALL go to the
person randomly chosen as the winner on Monday 24th,
now closes at 12 noon on Wednesday the 26th.
Each bundle contains 16 Fat 1/8ths – thats 2 mts of fabric,
6 mts in total!
So all I have to say is donate, donate, donate!

I would rather that my chance at winnig the bundle went to some-one who has lost their stash in the flood. I am sure stories will soon come out about such losses. I cannot imagine the emptiness that must be felt at losing everything.

I have a unit in New Farm the closest suburb to the river, miraculously we only had water in the garges which are built under the complex, thank god! Thank you for your reply sorry to be a pest with this one my tax receipt number is 3112158 for the amount of $500. we are a small based family business on the Gold Coast I also attended a Quilting group on a Thursday with about 20 to 30 ladies and I love all aspects of sewing. The devastation of the recent floods is still very hard to come to terms with and I sure do hope that all monies go to the people that most need it as this is not a sort term adjustment for them but a long and frustrating one for the victims the volunteers and support network that has been helping all of them will remain in our thoughts and prayers for a very long time to come.

My name is Tricia Mcleod and I am a quilter the Southport Salvation Army “Easyas” Group. I have been a member for four years and going into my 5th. We have a lovely group of ladies that will be starting up again early Feb and will be straight onto making things to give directly to flood victims.
I find that not only does this affect the flood victims but the whole of Australia. Not only can we donate linen, clothes, baby wear but can cook for the relief workers and victims alike. While physically unable to push a shovel etc in the mud, I was happy to help the aforementioned ways. And will continue to do so. Let us hope that everyone can help in some way.
All effort no matter how small will add up over the weeks and months that it will take to get people back on their feet.
Your efforts will go along way to helping them. Thank you.
