Update time

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

We have finally put together some packs for the Worry Doll quilt
designed by Kellie from Don’t Look Now.

We have put together and lovely range of brights for the clothes,
selection of hair colours,
fabrics for skin and the white for the background.

A lovely new range from Moda called Bliss.
A beautiful range of raspberry reds and fresh aquas.

I recently made a sample of Heather Bailey’s Happy Stacker Rings.
These were lots of fun to make, a little fiddly but the pattern
was very easy to understand.

New visitors to the shop – Izzy & Archie from Jodie.
Thanks also to Jodie who did the embroidery on Izzy’s dress.
Embroidery is not my strong point……..

A new Amy Butler sample of the Anna Tunic.
Can’t wait for summer to wear this one……
of course I got Sarah (my sample maker)
to make my size!!!!

More fabulous Knits from Michael Miller have just arrived!

Designer Felt, aren’t the colours stunning!

and thanks to June, for bringing in her version of Zara’s Hexagons.
I love this quilt!

Cotton that Look Like Silk

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

We are lucky enough to recently become stockists for the Reece Scannell fabric.

You might have seen this fabric at craft shows around Australia and
a select few Patchwork and Quilting shops.

It is a beautiful fabric that does look like silk.
Great textured weaves, giving that shot cotton look.

I am planning to get into some Amish inspired quilts with these fabrics,
that I think will work really well. Now it is just a matter of choosing the colours.
Hmmmmm with over 100 hues it could be a little difficult.

The fabric pieces are 50cm x 92cm in size.

Nani Iro, Enchino, Kokka Fabrics

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

We have had more new arrivals – there is so much new fabric in the shop at the moment!

More beautiful fabric from Nani Iro.
This fabric is a double weave cotton and is just so soft.
It is also the fabric we used to make the Shearwater Kaftan.

Fabulous new fabrics from Enchino.

Great for bags, covering a chair….now there’s a thought.
These fabrics are printed on the heavier cotton/linen mix.

How cute is this fabric?,

and this fabulous border print, both from Kokka.

and I got a present……….. from my swap partner Sarah

I think I have a new favourite fabric….
