Kellie, from Don’t Look Now, was at our shop last weekend teaching her raw edge applique technique. She always brings lots of her quilts to look at and accidentally left behind her Worry Dolls quilt. This quilt is just stunning and will be with us until she comes back on Saturday the 21st of August.
Feel free to come and visit on that saturday to have a good look at Kellie’s quilts. Such stunning work it needs to be seen to be believed!
Yes I had the craft show down in Melbourne and I really wanted to take some photos of my stand but…..I forgot.

I had Cath and Kirsten from Prints Charming in Ballarat last weekend. We went out for dinner and then in the shop on Sunday for a stitching class with lots and lots of yummy samples and again, no photos.

My lovely nieces visited the other weekend and tried on some of the samples in the shop including the Little Splashes Rain Coat. I think my camera was at home that day.

and then I made a spectuacular quilt for a friend and yep, no photos.
I think I am going to have to attach the camera to my body….. any suggestions?
Come along this Sunday, August 1st,
to meet the creative ladies behind Prints Charming.
The shop will be open from 10am!
Stitching class to follow,

“Our first book, Prints Charming, guides you through the world of paper cut screen printing and also includes 40 wonderful projects for you to make. Each chapter comes with a copy right free motif for you to use when screen printing. You will be able to create fabric that you can use for the projects included in the book, or clothing or home wares or …we can’t wait to see. Beautifully photographed, this is more than just a instruction manual. Spiral bound to make for easy browsing and an envelope at the back of the book with pattern sheets, Prints Charming would make a great gift for you or a friend.”

I have to tell you all about c a k e .

Jen, who used to work for me has left and started her own business.
It is a beautiful cupcake bakery here in Ballarat.
Her cupcakes are delish, and lucky for me her shop is just down the road,
so I can get my fix anytime.

So pop in and say hi – or visit her new blog.
congratulations Jen!
ps: thanks to ricrac for the pics.

I just can’t sleep at the moment – might have something to do with all the sport on a ridiculous times, but hey, I now have bunting.

We also have a sample of the Little Splashes Rain Coat pattern
designed by Amy Butler. Mum made it and said the laminated fabric was lovely to sew with.
Now which niece will get it…..

and finally I thought I might chuck on some pics
of our front window full of animals.
