Recently we have had a new type of pattern come into stock,
the sewing or creative card. They are usually an easy pattern
printed onto card with simple instructions. I would
not recommend these patterns for the beginners but
would suit anyone with basic sewing skills.
These are much cheaper than a regular pattern,
with prices starting at $4.95 and going only as
high as $13.20 for a slightly more complicated quilt design.
The first range was released by Valorie Wells
and included a great little cell phone wallet,
quick easy quilts and cute kid toys.

Lynn Wilson has also designed some easy
simple quilt cards. We have made
a version of “Steppin Out” and found the
instructions clear and very easy to follow.
Stay tuned for this quilt as packs
will be available.

Creative Abundance has also made
some Creative Cards, which include
little softies from Melly & Me and
cute bags from Rosalie Quinlan.

So get into these fabulous little cards,
great for presents too!
I am slowly finishing all the decorating in my little house
out the back of the shop.
I have always wanted to make a patchwork cover
for my couch but just never got around to it.
During the days off around Christmas I started
to make one. First I had to join all the strips
and then make them into pieces to fit the couch.
It did end up taking much longer but I did make
my own piping and the whole cover is lined in muslin.
I love it!
Now to do the chair…….
Found mum working on these t-shirts for Christmas presents.
Mum uses liteweft to stabilize the t-shirt
when sewing the applique on.

The car pattern is from Kellie’s
Peak Hour Quilt pattern.

This is a fabric we sell,
mum just fussy cut the owls out.
Mum uses a button hole stitch on her machine
to sew the applique onto the t-shirt.

A really cute one made using
Woodland Fabric designed by Natalie Lymer.
